Privacy policy
In one sentence: your photos never leave your device. This site does not receive, store or transmit any image you convert.

Your photos are never uploaded
HEIC decoding and JPG encoding both happen inside your browser, and files are read through the local file picker, so no upload request is made. You can verify this in the Network panel of your browser developer tools: no file data leaves the page during a conversion.
No files are stored
There is no backend service and no database. The converted image is handed straight to your browser for download, and the image data in memory is released as soon as you close the page, so there is nowhere for us to keep it.
No personal data collected
Using the tool needs no sign-up and no login, and we never ask for your name, phone number or email address. The site itself does not collect personally identifying information and does not build user profiles. The section “Third parties and changes” describes the third-party services that may be involved and the limits that apply to each.
Analytics
The site uses the privacy-friendly analytics provided by Cloudflare to understand whether pages load correctly and roughly how many people visit. It sets no cookies and does not track how individual visitors browse.
Local storage
The only browser storage this site uses is for language preference: when you switch language manually, your choice is written to localStorage (key heic-lang) so it can be respected next time. That record stays on your device and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser data.
Third parties and changes
This site displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads related to you, and that processing is governed by Google privacy policy; you can opt out of personalised ads in Google ads settings. Apart from the Cloudflare CDN and its anonymous analytics and the advertising described above, this site loads no social plug-ins or other third-party tracking scripts. To be clear: advertising does not affect the conversion itself - your images are still processed only inside your own browser and are never uploaded to any server. Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the updated date shown at the top of the page.
