Accepts .heic / .heif input, outputs .png
JPG quality 90%
Tips: higher quality means a sharper but larger PNG; 0.8 ~ 0.9 is plenty for everyday use. For smaller files, shrink by longest edge (2048 / 1920 / 1280 / 800 px) or by percentage under Output size (images are never upscaled); resizing and quality work independently, and the default Keep original size changes nothing. Conversion runs locally with the browser's own image decoder — large images may take a moment.

Frequently asked questions

The things people ask most about HEIC to PNG conversion.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion happens entirely inside your browser: decoding and encoding both use the browser own capabilities. Files are never sent to any server, data is cleared as soon as you close the page, and it even keeps working offline.
Why are iPhone photos in HEIC format?
Since iOS 11, iPhone stores photos as HEIC by default - roughly half the size of JPG at the same quality, which saves phone storage. Windows and much other software do not support it directly, so converting to PNG or JPG is usually necessary.
Can I convert in bulk? How many images at once?
Yes. Drop several HEIC files in at once, or hold Ctrl / Shift while picking files. There is no hard limit; it depends on your device memory, so a few dozen at a time keeps everything smooth.
Why is the converted PNG much larger than the original HEIC?
That is expected. PNG is a lossless format, so the same photo gets noticeably larger after conversion. If size matters more, convert to JPG instead; to balance size against quality, shrink the longest edge (2048 / 1920 / 1280 / 800 px) under Output size.
The converted image comes out rotated or flipped. What can I do?
This tool reads the orientation data stored in the image (EXIF Orientation) and straightens the output, so manual rotation is normally unnecessary.
Which browsers and devices are supported?
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox all work. You can open it in browsers on Windows, Mac, Android phones and iPhone — nothing to install.
