Who and what

I am Weiguo Wang, the creator and sole maintainer of this site. I build the tools, write the articles, run the measurements, and handle corrections. The project started from a concrete annoyance: people around me with iPhones could not open their own photos after switching to Windows or Android, and most online converters at the time required uploading the files first. So I built a version that runs entirely in the browser.

Where the content comes from

There is no content team and no outside submissions. Everything written here about formats, quality, and conversion settings comes from my own testing. The benchmark page, for example, uses fixed samples and fixed encoding parameters, and publishes both the sample sources and the method so anyone can reproduce it. Claims I cannot verify are not written as conclusions - I would rather say that it depends on the device.

Contact and corrections

For errors, problems, or feature suggestions, email admin@xunidd.com. This site is maintained by one person, so replies may be slow, but every message is read. Confirmed errors are fixed in place and the last-updated date at the top of the article is bumped.
